What Is Steal An Egg Online?

Steal An Egg is a free 3D browser game by gameVgames where you buy eggs off a conveyor road, hatch them into brainrots that earn cash every second, and raid rival bases for their best brainrots. You play solo or with a second player on the same keyboard.

The tutorial sums it up in three cards: Buy Eggs, Steal From Others, Earn Money. Eggs roll out of a portal onto a two-lane road, and each one wears a label with its name, rarity, a timer and a price. A fresh save gives you 100 cash. A Basic egg costs 25. Back home, a starter pet stands next to a Collect ring that had 20 cash waiting for us, and the bases around you have names like Spiritwalker and Colossus. Theirs are the brainrots you're meant to take.

The name comes from Roblox's Steal An Egg, which launched on July 25, 2026 and had 1,390,299 people playing when we checked Roblox's API at 16:53 UTC on October 5. The gameplay copies a different hit, though. Brainrots lined up on base tiles, a Steal prompt, a cash-per-second tag over every head: that's Steal a Brainrot, down to the Italian brainrot characters it uses. One base we walked through held a Trulimero Trulicina earning +125/s. The Roblox egg game hatches pets instead.

How to Play Steal An Egg

You need a keyboard and a little patience: it's a sizeable Unity download (about 39 MB of game files), so give the gameVgames loader a moment. Here's a first session in the order the game walks you through it.

    Pick 1P or 2P

    The title screen has 1P and 2P buttons plus a settings gear with Graphic Quality (Low, Medium, High), seven languages and sound sliders.

    Dress your runner

    Customize lets you type a name, pick Male or Female and browse six tabs: clothes, wings, bags, hats, glasses and pets. Items cost cash (50K, 75K), 50 tickets, or three ad views. In 2P you set up Player 1 first, press Next, then do the same for Player 2 on the second screen.

    Read the controls card and press GO

    A card shows every key before you spawn. Three tutorial cards follow (Buy Eggs, Steal From Others, Earn Money); Space continues.

    Buy an egg off the road

    Walk to the road beside your base and wait for an egg to roll past; a Buy prompt with the E key pops up on it. Press E. Our cash went from 100 to 75 on a Basic egg.

    Empty your Collect ring

    Your starter pet stands next to a ring marked Collect, and stepping on it banks whatever is waiting. We went from 75 to 95.

    Raid a rival base

    Walk into another base. Each brainrot shows its name, rarity, income per second and value, and standing beside one brings up a Steal prompt on E.

    Teleport home with G

    G sends you back to your base, T opens the index and X quits to the main menu. In 2P, Player 2's HUD puts the base and index buttons on P and I.

Steal An Egg controls for 1P and 2P

Player 1 moves with W A S D, jumps with Space, sprints with Left Shift, swings a bat with F and grabs with E. In 2P the screen splits down the middle and Player 2 takes the arrow keys, L to jump and K to hit. One snag: the GameMonetize listing says O buys and J sprints for Player 2, while the in-game controls card shows it the other way round. Our map follows the card.

The mouse turns the camera, and the scroll wheel pulls it out to a top-down view. That's the quickest way to see which neighbor has the fattest brainrots.

Steal An Egg Tips (That Came Out of Playing It)

Your first 100 cash buys Basics, not a Rare

On the road, a Basic egg costs 25, an egg called Rare costs 250 and a Super Rare costs 1K. With 100 to start, Basics are all you can afford. Mind the names. The Rare egg is Common rarity in the index, and Super Rare is the first egg that actually carries a Rare tag.

Steal for the per-second number, not the value

Every brainrot in a rival base wears two numbers. In one base we found Noobini Pizzanini at +1/s (value 25), Tim Cheese at +5/s (500), Svinina Bombardino at +10/s (1.2K) and Gangster Footera at +30/s (4K). The Steal prompt shows no price, so go for the biggest /s you can reach. Sadly we can't tell you how the escape plays out: the Steal prompt came up on Talpa di Fero and Gangster Footera, but none of our grabs went through.

Check the ring every time you're home

The Collect ring read 20/20 when we found it, which looks like a full tank, so anything earned past it may be wasted. One step and the 20 landed in our wallet. A sign beside the pet says Evolution 1/4; we didn't get far enough to see the next form.

Walk past the ad pads unless you want an ad

Your base has three glowing pads: Income x1.5, Automatic Collection and Protection, each for 3 minutes. They're rewarded ads. Stand on one and a Watch countdown starts.

Watch the event board for tickets

A board over the egg portal counts down to timed events; we saw Ticket Rain at 00:05. Tickets are the yellow currency next to your cash, and some outfits cost 50 of them. In the plaza, a Climb for Prize sign stands beside a mystery egg and a wooden, bat-holding figure that looks a lot like Tung Tung Tung Sahur, with planks spiraling up the tree behind.

Is Steal An Egg Worth Playing?

Yes, if you came for brainrots and a rival on the same couch rather than the Roblox egg game. The Steal An Egg 2 player mode is the real reason to pick this version.

What we liked

  • Real 2P split screen with separate wallets, something the Roblox game doesn't do.
  • A deep catalog for a free browser game: 11 eggs and 44 brainrots, up to a single Ultra egg, Diamond.
  • It saves. Cash and settings survived a full page reload.
  • Plenty to poke at: outfits, a Climb for Prize tree, an events area and Ticket Rain.

What held it back

  • It isn't the Steal An Egg most people search for. No guardians, no treadmill, no mutations.
  • Ads are woven in: a skippable ad before you spawn, three ad pads in your base, ad-locked outfits.
  • No touch controls. Phones get a rotate-to-landscape message, then keyboard hints.
  • We're not sure yet about the late game: we never caught our three Basic eggs hatching on our tiles, and our steals didn't go through.

Best for two players sharing one laptop, and for Steal a Brainrot fans who want a quick fix without opening Roblox.

How do you steal in Steal An Egg?

Walk into a rival base, stand beside a brainrot until the Steal prompt appears, and press E (J for Player 2, per the controls card). Go for the highest income: Gangster Footera showed +30/s next to Noobini Pizzanini's +1/s. We couldn't complete a steal ourselves, so we can't confirm the run home.

How we tested this game

We loaded the GameMonetize build in Chrome on a machine without a graphics card, so it ran at roughly 4 to 15 frames per second and took several minutes to load. We played 1P and 2P, went through settings, the customize shop, the index and the tutorial, bought Basic eggs, collected pet cash, tried to steal from a rival base, reloaded the page to check the save, and resized to phone-shaped windows.
