A Short History of Codes in the Game

Codes arrived on December 13, 2025, and the very first one wasn't free. It came inside the Festive 67 plush — 50,000 of them — and unlocked the Festive 67 brainrot in-game. The Boppin Bunny plush worked the same way with 30,000 codes. Other merch has carried random 12-character codes ever since.

Free codes came later, and Sammy did them his own way. Instead of one code everybody could redeem, he started posting limited-stock codes during Admin Abuse. Some were ridiculous. IMANEGG, a code he made for Steak, spawned a Strawberry Elephant, FREE500DRAGS gave Dragon Cannelloni, and three different codes handed out John Pork. Then there were the riddle codes, with one use each, sometimes three. If you weren't first, you got nothing. No wonder players in the Discord spam Sammy for codes whenever an Admin Abuse is running.

Summer 2026 changed two things. Update 53 (June 13) moved codes out of the Shop and onto their own button on the left of the screen, and BESTBRAINROTEVER showed up on the wiki's Codes page the same day. Then came the exploiters. Sammy paused codes from June 27 to June 30, 2026 because of them, and after an AI-assisted code-sniping group got banned, he posted L2EXPLOITERS — yet another John Pork code. Petty? A little. We loved it.

What Do Codes Actually Give You?

Short answer: sometimes the best brainrots in the game, if you're fast enough. Free codes have handed out three of the five highest-earning brainrots there are. The table lists the biggest code rewards next to their base income (no mutations or traits), and the last row is the one that matters for you today.

That last row is the reality check. The only code that still works gives a brainrot earning $325K/s, and Strawberry Elephant makes roughly 2,300 times that. So don't plan your progression around codes. We'd treat BESTBRAINROTEVER as a cheap Secret you can summon when you want one: at $80M for $325K/s it pays for itself in about four minutes, which is great early on and meaningless once your base earns millions per second. Kraken is the sad one on the list. Its only other source was the Octo Lucky Block at 0.1%, and that block is gone.

The rest of the expired list is smaller stuff: five codes for Octo or Premium Octo Lucky Blocks, an Octo Base skin, the Waverider gear, and a few other brainrots like Pizza and Ranch and Chicleteira Surfeiteira. Nice when you got them. None of them coming back.

Tips for Being First to Redeem

Speed is the whole game with limited-stock codes. Here's what actually helps:

• Be in-game for Admin Abuse. Saturday around 3 PM EST (right after the weekly update) and Taco Tuesday at 6 PM EST, usually 30–60 minutes each. Sessions sometimes get cancelled or handed to a guest host, so check our Admin Abuse guide before you plan your evening around one.
• Show up an hour early. There's an Early Bird gift roughly an hour before each scheduled session, usually a Secret Lucky Block. Even if no code drops, the trip wasn't wasted.
• Don't wait for a website to post it. By the time a limited-stock code reaches any code site, this one included, it's probably gone. Being in the server when Sammy posts it is the only reliable way.
• Pick a quiet server for BESTBRAINROTEVER. Fewer players near the Red Carpet means fewer people who can buy your La Vacca out from under you.

Common Mistakes When Redeeming

Same three, every time. Capitalization is number one. Codes are case-sensitive, so “bestbrainrotever” does nothing — it has to be “BESTBRAINROTEVER.” Copy-pasting from the card at the top is the safest move, which is exactly why it has a copy button.

Number two is looking in the Shop. That's where codes lived before June 13, 2026, and a few big code sites still describe the old method. The Codes button sits on the left side of the screen now. Number three is trying codes that already ran out. Limited-stock codes don't come with an expiry date; they just stop working once the stock is gone, so a code from a video posted ten minutes after the session is probably dead already.

One bonus mistake, specific to BESTBRAINROTEVER: redeeming it with less than $80M. Then you've just spawned a La Vacca for whoever else is standing on the carpet with cash. Generous of you. Probably not the plan.

Better Ways to Get Free Brainrots

Being honest, codes are the weakest free method in the game right now. Admin Abuse beats them easily: Sammy spawns brainrots (La Vacca constantly — “did someone say la vacca?” — plus Matteo, Karkerkar Kurkur, Dul Dul Dul and Los Tralaleritos), drops Lucky Blocks, and runs admin-only weather events that hand out traits. Stealing from other bases still works, and the Red Carpet never stops.

Update 69 (October 3, 2026) added two more reasons to log in: the Eclipse event, whose 14x mutation is now the best in the game, and the Haunted Fuse. Looking Ahead

We're writing this on October 5, 2026, two days after Update 69. Update 70 is scheduled for October 10, and we don't know what's in it yet. Will it bring a code? We're not sure, and Sammy hasn't said. If one does appear, the Saturday Admin Abuse right after the update is the likeliest moment — that's our read of how past codes dropped, not a promise.
