Origin & History

The name comes from "Sigma Boy," the song by Betsy and Maria Yankovskaya released October 4, 2024 that blew up on TikTok (Wikipedia). The game wiki credits the sushi-penguin design to @aironicfun; we couldn't confirm that anywhere else.

And yes, it's a penguin — one whose torso is an oversized sushi roll wrapped in seaweed, with salmon nigiri on its head.
